What is weight-neutral personal training?
Weight-neutral, body liberation-oriented personal training is fitness programming that teaches a sustainable approach to physical activity that meets your unique goals, outside of intentional weight loss. In other words, it is all of the appropriately-challenging work without the side dish of body shame or weight stigma.
In this work, we are interested in getting stronger and building endurance either for general activities of daily living or for specific movement goals like races and seasonal activities. This approach to personal training honors your holistic health, whole self, and your body's unique journey through this often challenging and difficult adventure of being human.

Classic: live, in-person sessions
JodiAnn offers a limited number of one-on-one and small group weight-neutral personal training sessions in a traditional, in-person setting at Formative Fitness in Traverse City, Michigan.

Synchronous: live, online sessions
JodiAnn offers a limited number of ONLINE weight-neutral personal training spots. Online training is great for folks who would like to train from home and/or for clients who do not live in the Traverse City, Michigan area.

- real-time, online training sessions with your trainer talking to you and watching from your computer while you workout at home
- consistent, sustained, one-on-one online interaction with personal trainer
- custom programming to meet your unique goals
- some support for form and technique
you may choose Classic if...
- you want to work with JodiAnn but don't live in or near Traverse City, MI
- you want to workout from the comfort & privacy of your own home
- you enjoy -- or at least do not mind -- building online relationships
- you are not too worried about your form causing or exacerbating chronic pain
Individualized: programmed, pre-recorded sessions
JodiAnn offers individualized personal training programming. Workout whenever and wherever is most convenient for you! JodiAnn will provide the programming so you can open her app and complete your scheduled, guided workouts.
what this looks like:
- 12 weeks of custom programming to meet your unique goals
- 3, 30-minute coaching sessions (every 4 weeks) providing one-one-one interaction with your trainer during your 12 weeks of programming
- general support for form and technique via asynchronous video
you may choose Classic if...
- you are a self starter and can easily motivate yourself to show up for scheduled workouts
- you don't feel like you need one-on-one attention to your form
- you want to train with JodiAnn but have a favorite gym you'd like to workout in
- you are looking for a bargain but also want your training as customized as possible

Membership in the Bad Dog Rebel Studio with access to a private training group in the app! JodiAnn will check-in regularly with pre-scheduled prompts and coaching tips and will check-in live once each week.
